Coming off of the back of a great result against Greece in which Jude Bellingham forced the second goal – the local derby against Ireland at home would prove to be an easier test with higher stakes. Anything but a win would seriously disgruntle the entire nation, so naturally Jude was handed the start in midfield. The first half was comfortable for England, but a yellow card, banishing Bellingham from the next game was the only occurrence of note. The second half was a five star performance in every sense of the term. Goals from Harry Kane, Anthony Gordon and Conor Gallagher secured the win – before two assists from Jude Bellingham set the 5-0 score line in stone. The first came from a clever free-kick to make space on the edge of the area, for Jude to find Jarrod Bowen to find the gaps and score. His last assist came through a superb lofted pass over the defence, straight onto the head of Taylor Harwood-Bellis to score his first goal for England. Elsewhere, Jude was strong on the ball and had one of his best performances for his nation to date. The Brit will return to Madrid in good form…
