Tibetan antelopes, often referred to as the “elves” of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, have long faced the threat of poaching for their prized underfur. However, dedicated conservation efforts have helped their population rebound. In 2017, Qinghai Hoh Xil was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, largely for its role in safeguarding the future of these majestic creatures.
