NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Pasupati Acrylon(19.08%), M M Rubber(16.85%) and Purple Entertainment(15.29%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 12.85 points down at 74102.32, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 37.61 points up at 22497.9.
In the Nifty50 index, 29 stocks closed in the green, while 21 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Covance Softsol L, Vadilal Enterprises, Sarda Energy, Tavernier Res and Autoriders Intnl hit their fresh 52-week high, while IndusInd Bank, K&R Rail Engineering, Abhinav Leasing, Sangal Papers and AAA Technologies touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
