Rodrygo rejoins Real Madrid squad in training, ‘questionable’ against Milan

Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes completed a portion of Sunday’s training session with the rest of the squad after recovering from the hamstring injury he suffered during the last Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund. The medical staff will monitor his progress during Monday’s training session and his current status for Tuesday’s crucial game against Milan can be deemed as ‘questionable’.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti will likely take a cautious approach with Rodrygo’s return knowing that his starters had a week off. There’s no need for Ancelotti to make rotations and Rodrygo will only make the squad list and play some minutes if he’s truly 100% ready to make his return without taking any risks.

Ancelotti will likely address Rodrygo’s physical condition during Monday’s pre-match press conference, so it will be interesting to hear what he has to say about the striker’s availability.
