Rodrygo Aiming To Make It For AC Milan Clash; Courtois Doubtful

Real Madrid held another training session today at their Valdebebas facility, focusing their efforts on preparing for Tuesday’s Champions League clash against AC Milan. With their scheduled La Liga game at Mestalla postponed due to the severe DANA storm in Valencia, the team has an unexpected but valuable window to regain fitness for some key players.

One positive development comes with the return of Antonio Rüdiger. The German defender, who had been dealing with knee discomfort, spent the last two days training separately to manage his recovery. Today, he rejoined the squad in full training.

Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham, meanwhile, took a lighter workload, completing recovery exercises indoors to combat fatigue.

Rodrygo, sidelined since his muscle injury in the Borussia Dortmund game, is pushing to return in time for Tuesday. The Brazilian forward has been back on the training field since the start of the week, hoping for medical clearance to rejoin the lineup. However, Thibaut Courtois, recovering from a more extended injury, is unlikely to be available for this upcoming match.

Today’s training session featured joint warm-ups before transitioning into drills focused on possession, ball control, and pressing. Madrid’s coaches then directed tactical drills, emphasizing structure and positioning, before ending with small-sided games and finishing exercises.
