Real Madrid tracking 18-year-old center back Vitor Reis

Real Madrid are monitoring 18-year-old Palmeiras center-back Vitor Reis as they look to bolster their defensive ranks. According to a report from The Athletic, initial inquiries have been made, but no formal offers have been submitted to Palmeiras or the player’s representatives. Reis, who recently extended his contract until December 2028 with a €100 million release clause, remains a key figure for Palmeiras, and the Brazilian club is keen to retain him until after the 2025 Club World Cup.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Barcelona have also expressed interest in the teenager, but Real Madrid’s need for defensive reinforcements is more urgent. Center-back remains a position in need, with the teenager the latest linked after the failed signing of Leny Yoro, who chose Manchester United. Carlo Ancelotti currently only has Eder Militao and Antonio Rudiger available, with David Alaba still recovering from a knee injury.

Reis, who debuted professionally for Palmeiras in June and has since scored two goals in 15 appearances, is widely regarded as a rising star. He is known for his composure on the ball and passing out of the back. Often compared to Marquinhos, the Brazilian youth captain is drawing attention across Europe as a future defensive cornerstone.
