Real Madrid Castilla graduate Rafa Marin is joining Napoli on a permanent transfer for a fee of €12 million, according to Fabrizio Romano.
In a deal that can go up in value over time, Marin has earned his move to a big club after impressive performances all season for Alaves.
Marin — who is reported to undergo his medical on Monday — will be able to fetch Real Madrid €12 million as a fixed fee. The fee can go up to €22 million in 2025 if Napoli want to double Marin’s original buyback clauses, which are €25 million for 2026 and €35 million for 2027.
It is a very good deal for all parties involved; Real Madrid get a decent amount of money for one of their most treasured Castilla products in the last few years, Napoli get a very talented and mature centre-back, and Marin gets to play at a big club in Europe.
