Real Madrid make Alexander-Arnold a priority target -report

Real Madrid have established Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold as a priority transfer target, according to a report published on The Athletic. Alexander-Arnold’s current contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2025 and he hasn’t signed an extension yet, meaning that he is set to become a free agent.

Alexander-Arnold will be allowed to negotiate terms with Real Madrid and other potential suitors on January 1st, 2025. Liverpool will be trying to secure a contract extension in the upcoming months to prevent Alexander-Arnold from leaving as a free agent, and negotiations between the two parts are ongoing, according to reports published on the British press.

Real Madrid are willing to sign a quality right-back, knowing that it won’t be easy for Dani Carvajal to return to elite form after his devastating knee injury. Alexander-Arnold is still 26 years old and could be an undisputed starter on the right flank of the defensive line for almost an entire decade.
