Pedro Porro responds to Real Madrid rumours

Tottenham Hotspur’s Pedro Porro, currently on duty with the Spanish national team, has addressed the swirling rumors linking him with a move to Real Madrid. Amid Los Blancos’ search for a right-back to provide cover for the injured Dani Carvajal, Porro’s name has emerged as a potential solution. In an interview with El Desmarque, the Extremaduran expressed gratitude for the speculation, viewing it as a testament to his hard work.

“My friends send me the rumors. It’s a compliment,” Porro said. “It is the result of a job well done that one of the best clubs in the world has noticed me.” Despite the buzz, Porro remains focused on his current commitments, emphasizing his long-term contract with Tottenham, which runs until 2028.

Madrid: A City Close to His Heart

When asked about his favorite places to live, Porro didn’t shy away from mentioning Madrid, a city he holds in high regard. The nod to Spain’s capital, coupled with his admiration for Real Madrid’s Fede Valverde—whom he included in his “ideal eleven”—has only fueled speculation about a potential move.

“I’ve always liked Madrid,” Porro admitted.

A Return to La Liga?

Porro also weighed in on the possibility of returning to La Liga, where he previously played for Real Valladolid. When asked to rate his desire to play in Spain’s top flight again, he gave it a solid seven. Laughing, he added, “I feel committed to the possibility.”
