OFFICIAL: Carvajal confirms “serious ACL injury,” will require surgery

Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal has confirmed via a post on his Social Media that he has suffered a “serious ACL injury” which will require “surgery and some months off the field.”

“I am looking forward to starting the rehab process so that I can come back like a beast. Thanks for your messages, I feel your love,” he added on his post.

While Real Madrid have not published a medical report on Carvajal just yet, it definitely looks like Carvajal will need to miss the rest of the 2024-25 season.

The Spanish legend will turn 33 years old in January, so he will need to be patient during this process in order to return as an elite defender next season.

Lucas Vazquez will be the team’s only right-back for the rest of the season, so it will be interesting to see what coach Carlo Ancelotti decides to do whenever he needs to give him some rest.
