Real Madrid Castilla captain Manuel Angel has suffered a hamstring injury that will keep him out for four to six weeks, according to Relevo.
Angel, who was injured for a long time, had only just made his return in Castilla’s last game — a draw against Yeclano — and is now due for another spell on the sidelines.
Castilla clearly need a player like him, even more so after the injury to Cesar Palacios — another talented midfielder who is missing most of this season due to an ACL rupture.
Angel needed game time, and once match fit, he would’ve made for a great midfield partnership with Chema Andres — Castilla’s most impressive player this season. This setback causes problems for at least four more games.
In just over a week, Castilla have lost both Jacobo Ramon and now Angel — two of their best players — and the problems keep piling up for Raul, in a season that could be his last as head coach of the reserves.
