Guti Criticizes Mbappe’s Portrayal in Luis Enrique’s Documentary: “These things should not be public”

Guti, the former Real Madrid legend and youth coach, expressed his disapproval of Kylian Mbappe’s portrayal in Luis Enrique’s documentary, “You don’t have a f***ing idea,” broadcast on Movistar+. Speaking on ‘El Chiringuito,’ Guti voiced concerns about how the documentary presents private conversations with Mbappe, believing it disrespects the player.

“I may like it… but if I’m Mbappé, I say don’t bring this out to the public. Things don’t have to come out,” Guti stated, referring to footage of Enrique’s candid exchanges with the French forward. He added, “As a coach, you can say these things privately in a chat with a player, but to include it in a documentary feels wrong. It’s like you’re belittling him.”

Guti also acknowledged that while it’s valid for a coach to push a player to defend more, he feels that broadcasting such moments publicly crosses a line. “I think it’s wrong to publish it. I hadn’t seen it, and I don’t think it’s good they released it. If I were Kylian Mbappe, I wouldn’t have allowed it,” he concluded.
