active stocks: Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Indus Towers(Rs. 3899.28 crore), HUDCO(Rs. 3506.22 crore), Indian Railway Fin(Rs. 2924.23 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 2395.17 crore), NBCC (Rs. 2321.32 crore), Indian Renewable(Rs. 2251.18 crore), L&T(Rs. 2099.64 crore), Maruti Suzuki(Rs. 1973.24 crore), RIL(Rs. 1907.54 crore) and SBI(Rs. 1714.51 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday’s session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 28.25 points down at 21697.45, while BSE Sensex fell 106.81 points to 71645.3.

In the Nifty index, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 4.43 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.72 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.51 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 2.44 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.26 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 2.42 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 2.35 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 2.14 per cent), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.10 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.08 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
