Faculty of Law, Integral University is organising 3rd National Extempore Competition on 10 February 2024. The last date of registration is February 9.

About the Competition

Integral University in collaboration with Jus Corpus Law Journal is going to Organise its 3rd Edition of National Online Extempore Competition on the Theme: “Fake News & Misinformation: Challenges to Democratic Discourse.“

The Theme of the Competition is in Correspondence with the United Nations Goals of Sustainable Development, Goal 4 Quality Education’ which ensures Inclusive and equitable quality education and promotes Life long earning for all and Goal 16, that promotes Peaceful and Inclusive Society for Sustainable Development, Provide access to Justice for All and build effective, accountable and inclusive Institutions at all levels.

Subjective Topics

  • The Proliferation of the Fake news in the digital age.
  • Them impact of Misinformation on public opinion.
  • Social Media as a breeding ground for fake news.
  • Fake news and its influence on elections.
  • The psychology of believing in fake news.

Note: The topics given here are only for reference, topics to each participant will be given randomly, Preserving the spirit of Extempore.

Rules of Competition

  • Organisers will provide the topic 7 minutes prior to the competition on Whatsapp group.
  • Each Contestant will be given 2-4 minutes for presenting their views on the given topic.
  • Two bells will be rung by organisers indicating the time of speaking, One at 2 min and second at 4 min.
  • Exceeding the time limit will result in Negative Marking
  • Contestant Must open their videos while speaking.
  • Marking Criteria includes:
    • Clarity of thoughts
    • Speaking and Orating Skills
    • Knowledge of Facts
    • Way of Presentation
  • The decision of the panel of judges and the organising committee regarding evaluation will be final and binding.
  • Decency must be maintained and no unethical conduct will be tolerated.
  • List of Topics will be provided 10 minutes prior  the competition, however keeping the nature of extempore, topic given to each individual will be random.
