Tough Talk from the Captain

Tough talk from club captain Luka Modric who faced up to the media with fighting words. The performance was pathetic and one has to agree with Luka that if we’re gonna lose a trophy in 2025 it might as well be the supercup.

Mbappe Still Improving

The Frenchman was the sole bright spark in Real Madrid’s performance. He should have had at least a brace on a different night. The goals will always be there for Mbappe, it’s always gonna be a question of how many.

Soundly Beaten

Real Madrid under Carlo tend to wing it. When we win, everyone forgives but when we lose.. Real Madrid look uncoached because they’re uncoached. The talent in the squad can bail Carlo out but eventually the lack of discipline and structure will catch up with you. This isn’t merely about El Clasico but we’ve struggled against decent opposition all season.

Easy Run of Fixtures

We should win all 6 games comfortably but we will instead suffer for some reason because LV is playing RB or some silly reason like that. The idea that Real Madrid could struggle in any of those fixtures due to lack of resources is grounds for dismissal or the manager let alone the preposterous argument itself.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

The clasico humiliations are not isolated incidents. Carlo Ancelotti has himself admitted to not being as keen to coach players. Real Madrid sign the best young players for a manager who wants the players to go out on the pitch and figure everything out. Almost every single match is so difficult for the team and equally difficult to watch. Nobody’s asking for rigid positional football but at least coach the players so we can see they’re learning from previous games. Our players don’t lack self-belief. If anything they have so much of it, they get cooked into disbelief like they can’t believe they’re being outplayed.
