Real Madrid feel “disrespected” by Vinicius Jr and Dani Carvajal getting snubbed in favour of Rodri for the Ballon D’or, per Managing Madrid sources.
Earlier this morning, Managing Madrid confirmed that, as told by Vinicius Jr’s camp, Rodri will lift the Ballon D’or tonight, and that in light of this news, Vinicius Jr — as well as Real Madrid as a whole — would not attend the ceremony.
Real Madrid sources have confirmed to Managing Madrid that the club feel disrespected and will not attend an event they feel so disrespected in. Real Madrid’s stance is that if Vinicius Jr is to be snubbed because of the criteria, than the award should logically go to Dani Carvajal, who won more trophies than anyone.
Real Madrid feel that it is “crystal clear” that the organizers of the Ballon D’or and UEFA do not respect them, and therefore, will not go where they are not respected.
