The Glue
Modric and Kroos have been likened to a glue holding the squad together over the years as senior players departed, altering the team in various ways. One can see the argument. The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo more than rocked the boat. It created a crisis. Kroos and Modric were there. Ramos and Varane left. Kroos and Modric were there. Casemiro and Benzema left and still Kroos and Modric remained.
The pair will continue to be the subject of much speculation until they put pen to paper.
The Davies Affair
Alphonso Davies is a talented player with a lot of potential. Bayern fans of late have very little to say about him except for negative sentiments. Real Madrid could use a player like Davies.

Miguel

The academy graduate has really impressed over the season with his positioning inside as a midfielder more than a fullback. His technical ability was on full display as Girona put up an historic effort to first challenge for the league and then finish in the Champions league places. Miguel may yet return to the Bernabeu with the Blancos looking to cash in on his rising stock.
Nico Paz
Nicolas Paz is a unique talent.. A player with the quality to make the jump to the first team. Unfortunately for Nico, he’s from the academy. With the club likely to retain the entire first team squad, Nico has no path to the first team.
Other Fullbacks
Frimpong and Alexander-Arnold
Real Madrid will be linked with any player making headlines. Comes with the territory. Frimpong is the latest craze along with Alexander-Arnold. These signings are unlikely with the club poised to extend both Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez for at least another season.
The Obsession with Leny Yoro
Reports of Real Madrid’s obsession with Leny Yoro have recently died down. The club’s interest in the seemingly generational talent will be matched by clubs all over. Real Madrid cannot offer the Frenchman a starting role in the current squad and that might be off-putting for a youngster who is ahead of the curve.
