What are the good things about your law college?
Our college has a student friendly environment which is necessary for starting your journey as a law student. All facilities are available to the students irrespective of any discrimination. The students are provided with tablet for helping them taking notes and using study materials. The institution has helped us avail of a 24 hours library facility for the students both who live in hostels and are day scholars. Internet is provided inside campus and in hostel.
Are there any bad things about your law college?
The college can develop its cafeteria as it cannot accommodate a lot of students at once. The timings increase the anxiety of students [classes are held between 8’o clock in the morning to 3.15 pm in the afternoon]. The students are expected to maintain compulsory attendance percentage of 80%, so even with 79.9% one cannot make it to the semester exam and we have to attempt the semester once again. CBSE based system is followed for subject selection and you get very less time to study, almost 3 months for every four subjects.
How has your experience in your college been till now?
The college is quite good and you will be trained to be a perfect working professional before attaining a degree. The student will be well trained to handle every hectic situations with the best legal research knowledge. The multi moot and research presentations are worthy for joining the law school as you get to develop the skill of presenting before others. The talents of the student is encouraged by the institute and offered as duty to participate in event which are conducted outside the campus.
How’s the faculty?
The faculties in the law school are mostly pursuing their PhD and are well-trained. As faculties are from all over India, it is unity in diversity and students get accommodated easily. Most of them are fresh postgraduates and are very friendly with the students. They train the students for inter college moot courts. Each faculty works as a mentor for particular set of students and take care of their academics. The student teacher ratio in our college is 30:1 so that the interest of students is protected.

How’s the infrastructure of the college?
The students are provided with air-conditioned class rooms. The law school has a 24 hours library facility for the students. The rooms are clean, tidy and, spacious. In the case of a power shutdown, it will be difficult as the law school is built in a manner that no air or light can pass through. The campus is small and there is no place to roam around, so classes to home will be the best option anyone can take. There are less number of cafeterias and not adequate sitting space for students. The flushes in the bathroom will work out of blue but everything is maintained and sanitized properly.

How’s your hostel experience?
The hostel experience is dreadful as I spent 4 years of my college in hostel. The management is too strict with not allowing any student without a gate pass. Even in emergency situations you will not get it quickly and have to run around for getting it signed from different authorities. There are single and quadruple air-conditioned rooms and non-AC rooms available for both boys and girls. There is also a small play area provided in the hostel. Common canteen area inside the campus and food quality depends on the kind of cafeteria you choose as it is private and not college mess.

How are your peers?
The peers are friendly to an extent and you can get so many friends in the college within one year as the management has CBCS system. Seniors and juniors study in same class and getting to know them is a piece of cake. The school has been ranked 14 all over India and. Maximum students are well-versed in the language and other co-curriculum.

How are the placements in your law college?
Each department in the law school organizes placement drive every year which offers internship opportunities to the final year students. Majority of the students get selected in the interview and start working in firms. The basic law knowledge and communication is often tested in these placement offers. Doing more moots and publication will help the students get in easily.

How are the co-curricular activities in your college?
Students have often participated in national level sports representing the law school and won them. Facilities for indoor and outdoor game practices are available in the campus. The physical trainer updates every event and motivates the students to take part in them. Many medal of honors are received by the students in sports.

What are some of the things you’d advise to a 1st-year student?
The college conducts various conferences and seminars to impart legal education and insights in the minds of students. Pack your bags and get ready for the adventures. Many social aid trips and legal camps are awaiting for you. Focus on Moot courts and Research conferences rather than attending all the classes. You learn 10x more and can become a great lawyer. The student friendly faculties, seniors and college environment will help the new comers forget the hometown and enjoy becoming a professional.
Anything else you’d like to mention?
Friends are important in college life but don’t forget to focus on studies. There is more time for enjoyment yet studies should stand first. Be loyal and be honest.
