Faculty of Law, GLS University, Gujarat is organizing a client counselling competition on Saturday, February 17, 2024, in virtual mode and is seeking registrations for the same.
About the Organizer
Faculty of Law (previously GLS Law College), a constituent department of GLS University, was established in 2015. In a short period, the Faculty of Law has emerged as the most preferred destination for legal education. Faculty of Law offers a five-year integrated B.A.LL.B, B.B.A LL.B (Hons.), LL.B (Hons.), and LL.M (one year) are recognized by the Bar Council of India.
As pedagogy, the institute follows classroom discussions, case studies, interactive presentations, guest lectures, expert sessions, seminars, conferences, and case law methods coupled with practical training through moot courts.
The undergraduate programmes have a special emphasis on law practice and legal education with pleading, drafting skills, and a pro-bono approach. The programmes are designed to provide participants with enough drafting and pleading skills in all areas of law, intermixed with non-law areas. In the final year, students learn the skills of legal drafting and dissertation writing.
About the Competition
The prime objective of this competition is to impart professional skills in client counselling to budding lawyers. Adhering to this principle, the Faculty of Law shall organize the client counselling competition on Saturday, February 17, 2024. All total 32 teams will be selected for the competition on a “first-come-first-serve” basis.
The four rounds of competition will be held virtually
- Preliminary Round (Recoded Video Submission)
- Quarterfinal, Semi-final, and Final rounds (Virtual Presentation)
Prizes
- Trophy to the Winning Team: Trophy and Cash Prize of Rupees 10,000/-
- Trophy to the First Runners-up Team: Trophy and Cash Prize of Rupees 8,000/-
- Best Advocate: Certificate and a Cash Prize of Rupees 5,000/-
- All the participants will receive certificates of Participation

The intending participants must register by filling out the Google form given at the end of the post by 11.59 pm on January 28, 2024.
