First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression
There were no particular formalities on the very first day of joining. The infrastructure was great. The firm had a standard protocol for the working system. All the employees of the firm are strictly oriented towards their work.
Main Tasks
The task that I was assigned was on a daily basis but the major responsibilities/tasks that I was assigned were as follows: –
- Drafting Legal notice
- Legal Vetting
- Drafting writ petition
- Visit to High Court Gwalior Bench to observe the proceeding
- Visit to District court
- Visit to consumer court
- Visit to District Magistrate court
- Research work upon the observation from The High Court Case
- Drafting legal opinion for the client as instructed by mentors
- Various topics of CrPC were given to read to get a clear understanding of the workings of the court.
There were many other tasks that were assigned on a day-to-day basis as part of the daily working protocol.
Work Environment
It had a friendly work environment. People were helpful and were welcoming. The work environment was also clean and hygienic which added more positivity to the workplace. All my mentors helped me a lot in this learning process. The best part about the people of the firm was their way of teaching interns about the whole process legal system. All the mentors at the firm were more oriented towards practical learning rather than theoretical learning which I find very useful. In conclusion, it had a very positive environment.
Good Things
People were very cooperative and of friendly attitude. Everyone used to have lunch together no matter how busy everybody used to be. It promoted unity and a sense of belongingness among all. I learned new concepts during my internship. Every other day a group discussion round would take place which encouraged people to speak their minds. The firm is not only orientated towards work but also promotes individual well-being
Would I Recommend It?
Yes, I would be delighted to recommend Surange & co to my peers as the firm and its people as really interested in coaching the interns and promoting them.
