Free Webinar on Technology Agreements by Lawctopus

Lawctopus Law School is organizing a Free and Open Webinar on “Technology Agreements: Intersection of IP Law and Contract Law” on March 3, 2024, from 12 PM-1:30 PM.

About the Webinar

Delving into the intricate intersection of Intellectual Property (IP) Law and Contract Law, the discourse on Technology Agreements encapsulates a comprehensive understanding of pivotal legal frameworks and business imperatives. This interdisciplinary domain navigates through the nuanced landscape of diverse technology agreements, elucidating their structural dynamics and operational nuances.

Technology Agreements combine two important areas: Intellectual Property (IP) Law and Contract Law. This webinar aims to cover different types of tech agreements and what businesses need to consider when using them. It will be very interesting to see how closely these agreements are set up and what the key parts are. Understanding the specific clauses in these agreements, especially those related to Intellectual Property, and the Indian Contract Act of 1872, is crucial. Further, a breakdown of a Sample Master Service Agreement to see how everything fits in a practical example will be the element that binds everything together. By the end, the learner will have a clearer picture of how technology agreements work and what to keep in mind when dealing with them.

We aim for the participants to explore the foundational pillars of standard technology agreements, unravelling the intricate web of clauses that dictate contractual obligations and rights. Deliberations extend to dissecting the nuances of Intellectual Property clauses within these agreements, ensuring a nuanced grasp of protection mechanisms and ownership rights. With a discerning eye towards compliance with the Indian Contract Act of 1872, participants will engage in a critical examination of legal frameworks and obligations within the Indian context.
