Endrick Bids Emotional Farewell to Palmeiras in Final Game

In what was an unforgettable night for the young Brazilian star, Endrick played his final game for Palmeiras, marking the end of an era for the young talent at the Brazilian club. The evening was filled with emotions as the supporters paid tribute to their star with a spectacular tifo display, which brought the 17-year-old prodigy to tears before kick-off.

A Quiet Performance

Despite the emotional backdrop, Endrick had a relatively subdued performance on the field. In his 70 minutes of play, he managed just 20 touches and completed two dribbles. Endrick, who played as a striker this game, up top, didn’t venture to the wings like he does in other games, and was more stationary in the middle, which is probably the main reason he wasn’t involved — although Palmeiras as a whole were not playing that well to get him involved either.

Standing Ovation

After picking up a knock, Endrick was substituted and received a standing ovation from the entire stadium. Fans rose to their feet to show their appreciation for all he has done for the club. Walking off the field, Endrick headed straight to the tunnel, likely to received some medical attention — but the injury did not look serious, and Endrick returned to the bench some moments later.

Endrick will now depart Palmeiras to join Real Madrid, and will be part of the team’s US pre-season tour this summer. Though, he will play with Brazil in Copa America first.
