Ancelotti comments before Arandina
During yesterday press-conference, Carlo was asked about rotations and he replied:
Only three players will not travel. Kroos, because he has small problems, Tchouaméni and Vinicius, who have to finish his recovery. All others will travel and might play.
After the press-conference, Real Madrid published an official statement that Lucas Vazquez has hamstring injury. He is expected to be out for 3 weeks. As we can see, Vazquez isn’t part of the squad list.
As Tchouaméni is not an option, Carlo was asked if Carvajal is an option for CB.
He is an option. Nacho returns. Another option is Carrillo, who is with us and is training well. It’s not Tchoauméni, because he needs to rest.
Rüdiger is also in the squad, but Carlo didn’t even mention his name. The report from AS is: Nacho and Carrillo are expected to start.
Carlo confirmed Kepa starts today, but did not confirm if the keeper rotations will continue from game to game of if will be competition-wise.
Mendy is set to return in the next game, in the Super Cup.
