Camavinga: “People think it’s easy to come off the bench like that”

In the mixed zone following France’s 1-1 draw with Poland in the final group stage match of Euro 2024, Eduardo Camavinga shared his thoughts on the match, the team’s performance, and his aspirations for the next round.

The match saw France struggle to secure the top spot in Group D, ultimately finishing second behind Austria.

Camavinga came in off the bench in the 60th minute.

On Potential Opponents

“Who I’d like to face in the next round? I like playing against the big teams. Spain and Portugal have done very well in the group stage,”

Reflecting on the Group Stage Performance

“It’s still a disappointment for everyone because we wanted to finish first (in Group D), but I think we did the most important thing by qualifying. We just didn’t score enough goals. I have full confidence in our forwards. When we needed them, they were always there. We’re a great team and a great team always bounces back,”

On His Performance Off the Bench

“People think it’s easy to come on the pitch (off the bench) like that, but it’s not like that. I tried to give my best in the time I was there,”
