Camavinga: “Ancelotti will make the right decisions to align everyone. We will see next season”

In a friendly match against Luxembourg, France secured a comfortable 3-0 win. Notably (apart from Mbappe’s domination), Eduardo Camavinga spoke to the media after the match. Having played just one minute off the bench due to a well-deserved rest following the Champions League Final four days prior, Camavinga shared his thoughts on various topics, including his role with Real Madrid next season, the Olympic Games, and more.

Addressing his absence from the Olympic Games, Camavinga stated, “It would have been an honor to play in the Olympic Games but it is not possible. We must accept Real Madrid’s choice and move forward.”

Camavinga also touched upon his status at Real Madrid and how his recent successes might influence his role. “I don’t think my status (next season) will change because I have won two Champions Leagues. It shouldn’t change. When you win trophies, you have extra confidence. You always feel good in your head and then your feet follow,” he remarked.

The young midfielder also praised his teammate Kylian Mbappé, highlighting an often-overlooked aspect of his game. “People don’t necessarily see Mbappé’s qualities as a passer,” he said. “I don’t know what Ancelotti thinks, he will make the right decisions to align everyone. We will see next season.”

Finally, Camavinga shared his feelings about winning the Champions League twice.

“You never get used to winning the Champions League, it’s my second, but there are people who have won six,” Camavinga explained. “The first always has a special and different flavor, but it’s always nice to win titles. The first time I played a lot… This time I have won as a starter, but let’s say that the first time was better, even though it is more pleasant to be a starter.”
